Clik here and you can hear the Psaume 122 in hebrew

Through centuries of exile and dispersion. the Jewish people has preserved its unity and expressed it by a rite: three time daily, morning, afternoon and evening, all Jews, wherever they were, stood upright, their feet together,
facing Jerusalem, and prayed.

Today, we express our unity, our solidarity with Israel and our convergence towards Jerusalem by a gesture that combines, thought, word and deed, and gathering together all Jews, men and women, religious and secular, of the
right and of the left, of Israel and of the Diaspora.

How?
By standing upright, all at the same time, our feet together, facing Jerusalem, as a sign of our presence and loyalty.

Which day?
Once every month, on the 29th of the Jewish month, called "Erebh Rosh 'Hodhesh" or "Yom Kippur Qatan", the day of inner questioning and of personal assessment (27th day of the month when the 29th falls on the Sabbath) .

At what time?
The only time of day at which all Jews, from Sydney in Australia to Anchorage in Alaska, have the same date, in other words at 05.00 a.m. GMT, 07.00 a.m. in
Jerusalem (08.00 a.m. in summer time).

To do what?
A moment of silence or reading of Psalm 122
We can observe our traditional rites as they are lived by the Jews of today in their multiplicity.
